The following mathematics subject classification, MSC, is the proposed revision of the Mathematics Subject Classification (MSC), which is the classification that has been used by the two reviewing journals Mathematical Reviews (MR) and Zentralblatt für Mathematik (Zbl) since the beginning of MSC is the result of a collaborative effort by the editors of MR and Zbl . LC class numbers are given when there is a close correspondence between the subject heading and the LC classification. (Approximately 36% of headings have class numbers.)
